Olympus Hana-Fukin, Sashiko Sampler Pre-Printed In Water-Soluble Ink (Trick or Treat, Halloween)
This cloth is lightweight with a slightly open weave and the clear stitching pattern is pre-printed in water-soluble ink.
Although the original purpose of the project is to create a kitchen towel or cushion the sashiko panels can be used as part of a creative project such as a bag, quilt block, table runner or wall hanging.
You will need 20 metres of sashiko thread to complete these designs.
This product is designed and made in Japan, so the packaging and instructions are in Japanese. Some of them include English instructions, but if they don't, we will provide a sheet of basic sashiko instructions in English.
* Printed with water-soluble ink.
* Do not wash or use a steam iron or water spray before stitching as the pattern will wash out.
* After stitching hand wash gently in lukewarm water until the marks disappear. You can use a mild detergent.
* While the cloth is still half dry, cover the sashiko panel with fabric/towel and then press the iron gently on a low heat setting.
* Plain backing fabric in the same colour is included.
